Probably a sensor problem. Engine coolant sensor, cam position sensor and crankshaft position sensors can all cause starting problems when they go out.

For me it was the cam position sensor. The car would crank and crank but would not start up. You should try pulling your codes to see if the ecu has anything for you. If you're not sure how to do that, read the stickies at the top. Good luck.

Flooring the gas pedal does nothing on a fuel injected car.

Check your crank sensors and cam sensor. You have 2 crank sensors, one under the main under drive pulley (REF) and one on the bellhousing (POS) You can take them off and just clean them off. They are magnetic and over time metal shards form on them and cause the signal to the ECU to get cut off. THe Cam sensor is the same thing, its located on the timing chain cover. They all send signals to the ECU at startup so the ECU knows the position of the crank and cam.

BTW are you part of the Stay Tuned crew on Eastern Parkway and Atlantic?
