Seems like every time i start my car for the first time during the day my idles @ 1.5k which does seem a little bit too high considering i remember it being lower. Can this be abad thing? Post your Idles and give me some info! thanks

 

This is dumb. When you turn on the car it's usually at 1500rpm+. Why you ask, the engine isn't warmed up and is running rich to heat up faster. After it warms up, temp needle goes to middle, it's at a lower RPM, ahhh. Did you notice that?

Its the car warming itself up. Completely normal.

 

yeah, totally normal, mine starts around 14, then slowly lowers

he's right. mine is usually 1.2K then drops.

 

mine idles at 6k, but then i realize my foot is on the gas pedal.

 

Mine is about 1.2 - 1.5k depending on how cold it is and how long it has been sitting. From my experience every car is like this.

 

Haha. Once when I replaced the clamp on where the resonator connects to the throttle body I placed it where the throttle got stuck. Soon as I hit a certain RPM the thing got stuck at wide open. Took me a couple minutes to realize that I didn't completly ruin my car.

And 1500 rpm at start up is normal.

 

He gets fired up easily.

Mine idles high like 2K to 2.5K at start-up but I have a problem with the IAC valve, I think I need a new one.

 

This is nothing to worry about, but mine runs at 1100rpm unless its below 30 degrees or so, then it starts around 1400....

 

1500 and gradually goes down...

anyone know why i cant adjust my idle right? not to hi-jack ur thread, but mine idles around 850 when warm.ive tried adjusting it to no avail. please help!
