Getting a new starter

I am going to get a new starter. The dealer wants $246 so one of the websites that sells parts have them cheaper. Which brand should I use, Bosch or Denso?

I dont think that it really matters but I would go with denso. I like their spark plugs better.

Just make sure it's a new series. There was a thread about this a while ago which got into a stupid case of grammar ( teeth vs tooth). The new series starter is one that has 10 teeth, don't get the old series with 8, that was the essential info gained, mfg'r didn't seem to matter so find the best price on a starter with 10 teeth and your good.

Go the Auto Zone route. I did last summer and mine is running great. Took less than an hour to change. There are some simple instructions on this site if you can find them, they do help with some simple hints. I don't have the invoice from AZ handy (down in the car) but they had a great price, great guarantee (yeah, you don't want to do it over every week) and it is problem free 6 months later.
