running speaker wire

I am changing the speakers along with new speaker wire in my 96 max, and i was wondering what the easiest way is to run the new wire to my headunit?
and if anyone has any instructions on removing the storage compartment in the dash?

The whole center piece comes out. start with the middle vents...they sort of just pull out. then there are a couple screws above the ac/heat controls... you should be able to navigate after that.

The way I ran all of my wires was under the carpet, right next to doors on the drivers side. Then under the back sit and into the trunk.
