Nobody on their right mind takes their resonator off. Sounds like absolute sh*t.

Depends on if you want it loud or not. I took mine off and I am real happy with it. I also have a flowmaster muffler.

I have a straight pipe with a cheap ebay muffler :O

When I took my resonator off I noticed little difference, the real volume lies behind the Cat., so I would suggest you take the resonator off - if you want tone, and your going with a flow setup, you won't be happy...because people get flows for sound, yes?

Get a whole new exhuast setup, from the exhaust manifold to the muffler. You'll gain about ~20 to 25whp

No resonator sounds like complete @ss to anyone w/ any sense of pride. You'll be made fun of for eternity at your school. Better to be quiet and fast than loud and slow. Although both is fun too.

When I first got my exhaust It didn't have a resonator and sounded extremely loud and raspy. I finally got enough money and got the resonator and it made a huge difference in the sound. It's 500 times better with the resonator. Don't make the same mistake I made. BTW, I have a flowmaster muffler.

It all depends on what you want. loud, quiet, deep, etc. If you don't have a y-pipe that'll be the first thing i suggest.

I disagree. Before I had the resonator it didn't really sound "powerful". I'de say just really loud With the resonator it sounds nice. To get the "powerful tone" you'de probably need some headers.

oh yes, headers will do the trick but keep in mind they do come expensive, esp cattman. don't expect much hp increase either.

You can always start w/ the y-pipe. Cattman has a pretty good one, along w/ stillen (more pricey) & a catback exhaust set-up. I put a stillen y-pipe on w/ magnaflow converter & OBX catback exhaust. Gives a very nice & deep tone. It all depends on what you're looking for and what is within your budget. Good luck.
