Led Research, Mods, Questions, And Hookups. Step In

i finally decided to do more led blue mods on my car. i'm considering the climate after i saw pavelsmax and the window switches. i tried to the hazard and defroster buttons but failed so i'm not goin back to that. plus i screwed around with the white plastic piece in the harzrd button which screwed the function of thebutton so had to buy a new one.

anways, i been doin a lot of research cause thats how i am when it comes to buying things. for the 97 and up maxima's window switches, the rear switches seem to have a small squarish looking led. i saw this on superbrightled.com and was wondering if this was the one that matched with the maximas.
there called high flux leds, i dunno, couldn;t understand the specs and could be bigger than the maximas but does anyone know if its the same?

as for the reg leds, i decided to buy from ebay that sells them in packs.
theres a bunch of sites that sell for example, 50 4K mcd. 5mm Super Bright Blue LEDs for $3.79 also add a penny for each resistor. but i can't seem to find a lot of 3mm. does anyone know any sellers that does? are there any good sellers?

lastly, what is the common rating that is used for most led mods?
cause the leds on ebay go from 4000-8000mcd

there's a write-up for 98-99 for that squarish LED.

On the bottom of the page. I usually just take pliers or tweezers and rip the damn LED out and just solder on a new one on the contacts. good luck

oh wow, thanks, never knew they would sell those small boogers.
well i only need 2 so i might get these

but mcd rating is only 27. i could buy those, installation will be easier but won't be nearly as bright as reg LEDs. did you use these, or reg LEDs?

If anyone has an old nokia phone.. i have a 6285i and 3285.. they both have these kind of these LED's in them.. also sometimes called Laser LED's And the phone is pretty bright.
I got new ones like a few years ago and changed the color on my phone from green to blue.

You can use 3mm LED's once the tiny squarish ones are removed. Just solder it in like in the picture below. The longer lead in the picture being the positive lead.
