SURVEY: Have you ever replaced your brake calipers

i hit a curb, then my brake line on my passenger side front tire burst/snapped, and when they went to replace it, found out my caliper was leaking from a crack in it. just went and got a used caliper and paid 300 for all of that

what about changing seals?
Has anyone with leaking calipers ever tried to repair the calipers by changing the seals instead of replacing the whole caliper?
There is a part number for caliper seal kits both front and back.

Replace left rear at 137,000 miles. The others are all original now with 146,000 mi. I have rebuilt motorcycle calipers. It's pretty easy. Push the piston(s) out by pumping the brakes. Pull the seals out of the grooves and replace with new ones. Reassemble in reverse order.
