intake resonater

intake resonater

alrite is the intake resonater that people yank outta their cars just that snorkel plastic thing or is it that plastic box underneath the airbox that the snorkel goes into??? And its GOOD to take this outta ur car??? thanks alot....its prolly a stupid question too so my bad for that

hack up the airbox, and take off the box looking thing that comes down from the snorkel....your car will sound mean from 2500rpm+...

JUst take the elbow pipe off that sits between the res. and the intake piping, just leave the resonator there then clamp a nice hose on the hole for the OSCAI (see stickies). I also removed the little one on intake side of the box and sealed it up. Also cut a couple of holes in the lower air box, cheap man's, but some say; and agree, that it runs the smoothest and give ya more air.

so what is the point of that little extension box/elbow that stems off from the giant resonator box...isn't it the oil collector box? is that changing my performance any by leaving it connected to the resonator box? or should I take it off and plug that hole up?

while ur at, do the OSCAI. get like a vac hose and connect it down to the bottom of the car. i had the setup for a year, ran great. now have a bomz CAI. sounds even better and the air filter breathing is like 5 times louder cause of the fenderwell.

alrite so i shud just take off that big azz snorkel thing that scoops down into the big plasic box that sits down underneath the intake air box.....and also take off the plastic box that sits under the air intake box and then plug that hole up right?

yea, the long snorkel thing that goes on top of the radiator should be taken off, gave me more power just by removing it

there was more of a lag in the throttle response when i took mine off
