remote starter

remote starter

anyone have an aftermarket remote starter? my roommate wants to put one in his gf's 99 max and is looking for ideas on whats a good brand and any other information that might be important. any suggestions?

And.....do remote starts work for Manual Trans?

mines a stick, hers is auto. i suppose you could get one to work in a manual but youd have to bypass the clutch safety switch

ya usually it'll be safer to put an auto starter on an Auto,

If you get one for a manual they make ones that have a gear position sensor so it won't start your car if you left it in gear

im an installler i got a remote start on a stickshift and i have a gear positioning switch
but auto is a piece of cake if its a 99 it does have an imobolizer so therfore she would need 2 keys during the instalation and i use autopage its been around for 25 years i used it for 4 years and maybe 1-100 is defective
good luck normal charge for a job like that is around 225$ thats my charge

viper 791, beautful with no problems. maybe a bit more is all you are looking for is remote start.

but yea, like everyone else said, just a matter of bypassing the clutch.
