gurgling sound coming from glove box/heater core area...how to fix???

The girl I'm seeing has a 99 I30. everytime she turns the climate control on, all you can hear is gurgling. turn it off and it stops. It's very annoying. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

I can only think of 2 things: bubbles in AC system or in the coolant heater core.

i have that problem for 1 year+... it's like whenever i drive over 75 my car giggles from the glove box area... but sometimes it doesn't, i dont' know why...

but i figured it could be my radiator support that's falling off... i have been using zip-tie trying to hold it up... lol ghetto i know but it works fine...

It's pretty normal to hear the coolant coming into your heater core when you ask for heat. Sometimes air get's trapped in the system and that's why you hear the "gurgling" after the car has warmed up, CAREFULLY open your radiator cap and check the fluid level, turn your heat on the highest setting with the fan turned all the way up as well and see if the fluid level drops, if it does top it off. Sometimes you just have to wait for the sysytem to expel all the air out of the system, which can take some time.

Have the system charged and I garentee that noise will go away..my system was low last year and every time I turned it on I would get a noise from behind the glove box...well i got the A/C charged and it went away
