Suggestions on CatBack?

I wanna put in a cat back that will give my car a sick sound. Not neccesarily loud, def. not ricy, but i nice deep, throaty note-kinda european if you will. Most imortantly i wanna get somthin that'll really improve the hp! any suggestions will do! thanx..
p.s. i am also getting the custom enterprise ypipe and highflow cat if that makes a difference.

Send the high flow cat back.....it is pointless.
That will not do enough for you to even know, and therefore is a waste of money.

If you are wanting a ton of hp from a mod.....get something that is not naturally asperated.....get a turbo.

The Y-pipe will give you some decent gains, but the catback will not yield more than about 5 hp at best.....and that is only with a y-pipe.

I would go custom. Just go to a muffler shop and get some 3" piping coming all the way from the cat back. I kept my stock resonater on there, but if you are wanting a little more growl.....take it off and just have it go straight back from the cat. This is cheap. I had it done for like $50......they hooked it up to my 5th gen muffler and everything.

Good luck.

I would not go for 3" piping unless you are going FI, instead, for a naturally aspirated application, go with 2.5".
+1 for the custom exhaust.

I have a custom 2.5" setup and I like it. If you throw on a budget/wsp y-pipe, I would also throw on a test pipe...sure you'll lose back pressure...but u'll have the growl you want trust me.

i'd skip the test pipe and keep your stock cat

especially if you've got annual emission tests

definitely avoid the "can" type mufflers and steer more toward the larger oval ones with a tip

The best sounding catbacks I've heard in order are the Cattman cattback and Greddy SP2 and apexi ws. I haven't really ever heard one of the custom magnaflow type setups.

If you do a Y pipe, cat, and catback, you can see up to 20hp, especially if you have an intake as well. If you were to go with Forced induction you'd have to re-do the exhaust anyway, so if you're not in for spending a lot of $, don't worry about it and just get a regular 2.5" system.

Slammed, how is the fitment of your B pipe? I have a warpspeed system from the Y pipe all the way to the tip, and while the sound and power is good, the fitment is bad. After months of adjusting here and there it still hits the body and rear axle if anyone is sitting in the backseat...and it's holding up my dreams of lowering springs...
