Phantom squeal

I have a '97 model GLE with 108K miles. Whenever I put the car in drive and start moving forward there is a whinny squealing noise that comes from the passanger side of the car. The sound stops whenever I apply pressure to the brake but restarts when I let off the pedal. It will usually quit within 5 to 6 minutes of driving. I'm unable to pinpoint the noise due to the fact that it stopping when the car stops. The sound appears to be coming from the upper portion of the car near the firewall. Does not effect the performance of handling of the car. Nothing seems to effect the noise except when braking. Never starts until car begins to moving foward. Could really use some help finding the problem.
