monster flow air filters suck!

Yesterday i was installing my new JWT intake. So i took out the monster flow POS, and was looking at the maf screen and saw a bunch of debris. Also the mid pipe had all sorts of junk in it. I'm like WTF? ... I'm never using foam filters again.

How long did you use it for? I got rid of mine after 6 months of use so I never saw it fall apart and get sucked into the engine.

Hopefully you kept the screen attached to the MAF to catch it all.

for like 4+ or so months...

the maf screen only caught the larger pieces.. the rest were sucked into the engine.. I never had this problem with my K&N...

Did you ever clean it or did this happen using it right out of the box? I bought one with my pr intake and was debating going with my k&n or using the monster flow.

I heard foam adds to the octane.

Yeah foam filters suck. I always cringe when I see those HKS foam filters on high end rotaries, etc..... WTH are these people thinking? No way I'd use ill filtering foam filter
