KS and No Failure Recorded/Detected

i pulled 03,04 from my ECU just now...turned the ignition off and on just to double check and the 0304 was gone and now it's 05,05 which is No Failure Recorded/Detected. does this mean the KS code was a ghost code or something? i dont understand why it's gone now :\
ive always used atleast 91 octane, if i put in 94 untill i can get a new KS would it compensate for anything? ive also noticed an acrid smell 2 or 3 times, the first time in particlar it STUNK pretty good...like melted wire, i pinned my car pretty good that night...could that be the KS melting??

drive around for a bit and then test it again. I'm guessing that you just reset it.
