RPM Guage Skips

My RPM guage intermittently goes from 1 thousand to 2 thousand then skips like from 2 1/2 to 3 thousand and then goes up smoothly once again. Just wondering if anyone else has ever encountered this?

Ha ha ha, sorry to laugh but your RPM gauge is on its last leg! I've had this problem for nearly a year and now it goes completely dead once my car is warmed up. I hate that crap! Your best bet is to look on eBay for a gauge cluster and go that route, otherwise a new gauge cluster will run you around $400. Sorry to break the bad news but I know one thing, and that is I can be pretty precise now just listening ot the engine's humms! : ) Good luck!
