WHAT TO DO TO IMPROVE LAG on ACCELERATION

well i just drive my friends car, and the exact moment i floor it, it just flies forward, but on my maxima, for some werid reason, it takes like 1-2 seconds for the engine to accually realize im flooring it, what is it? i want the car to literally accelerate the exact moment of flooring it. C"mon orgers, ADVICE.

Yeah um, turbo wouldn't help in that area, turbo's are delayed........ unlike superchargers.

First of all, your Caps lock key is sapping engine power; turn it off and you'll see another 20whp. Second, check your throttle cable and tighten it if necessary.

i had this problem for a while and it turned out to be my knock sensor.


my TB and filter were dirty as well, but i think the ks did the trick.

all automatic trannys have a lag, its for luxury purposes. go get a valvebody from www.maximatuning.net

nismotic, how do i know if my knock sensor is fuked, its not my filter either, just got a new one

Ok the true solution to this all, and I should know owning a GLE and living in an area full of ricers is....................................... a ENORMOUS WING get rid of that dang spoiler you may or may not have, All the ricers swear by the wing!

clean up the system first with seafoam. then if it doesn't work, you'll need to start modding your car like me and my two bro's. i got a 5 speed, and my two bro's both got the auto's. we are all 4th gens. modding will improve your responses. good luck.

if you need help with seafoaming, pm me, i'll show you everything. i do a small seafoaming every week with my intake system, and a big one over the intake and injector once a month. my car runs smooth and powerful up till now. it's got 135k miles on it and it still drives like a monster.
