I dropped by a guys house last night who said he had ignition coils from a 98 Maxima GLE. The only differences in them were the mounting holes (1) vs two for mine, and that the plugs where in the wrong spot.

Are the coils for my 1999 SE different than other model years for the 4th gen?

Thanks 1fstmax! Question is, what were these coils from then? One mounting hole? The rear plug was facing up - no across.

The coils are the same on all 4th generations. Exept that Nissan decided to put cheaper coils in them that year. So more 99's have coil problems than other models.

The rear coils are different from the front.

What kind of friend is he if he's trying to sell coil packs from a different car? lol

My suggestion, take the part # and call up your local Nissan dealer to find out what car they go to.
