yeah their def. nicer, the 95-96 ones are ugly, i guess it'll be trial and error for me if no one else has tryed swapping them before, from what i've been told its just a couple security torx and a center nut that holds it all together, maybe when i pull it off i'll find a 96 bag on the shelf to see if the conections are the same, maybe even match up the control modules to be on the safe side, i dont see why they would be that diferent other then styling

Please keep us up to date. My 96 leather wrap is a bit chewed up and would love to put a new wheel that's in better condition in there provided it isn't that involved. Someone told me on here that it isn't that hard, but I want you to do it first. Good luck!

i'll be going sat. to pull everything out of the doner car, i've got about 4 hours to pull everything which should be enough time, ill match ones off the shelf tomorrow to see what things look like then once i get my car back from the shop with its fresh 17k mile motor i'll be doin the interior, i may wait till after our englishtown trip at the end of april, im not smokin in it after the interior swap but on the 2 hour ride down there im probably gonna wanna smoke....anyway...i'll let you guys know how it works out

Im sure the swap is possible as long as you have both the wheel and the airbag. On a side note...check out this swap (03 Altima wheel in a 4th gen):
