Which is the best short shifter

But mine works just fine so don't hate just because you payed double what I did!!
I bought the Courtesy nissan STS. It is EXACTLY the same as the B&M except for the price: Got it for 89$ at the time.
Looks real good too, chrome and blue aluminum, not that it matters.

Try treating people with respect and they'll do the same, you are no better than anyone else
i have the b&m sts. i like it, it sucks when its cold out cuz its harder to get it into gears, but after a few minutes with the heat on, its fine. i felt it to be really notchy when i first got it installed, but then got used to it. i like the look of it most of all, cuz its recessed and lower then stock obviously. but after dropping the 125 for the sts, and paying for installation, would i do it again? naaaaah i would use it to get something else for the max. but its nice enough to be worth the money. my .02

I love it when Dave pisses people off.
I have a B&M STS and the quality is excellent, the throw is shorter than any other car I've driven and I always get compliments on how it looks (I know, not important). It is hard to get it into first gear sometimes though, but I think it's due to my clutch/tranny or something and not the shifter itself.
One thing about the B&M I forgot was that the shift **** that comes with it is hideous and uncomfortable. I wish you could order it without for $20 cheaper. Other than that it is superior.

That moves the shifter back a bit. I imagine that is why I don't hit the auto trim in combination with the B&M.

i have driven a B&M equipped Max and the thing is very stiff. It take mucho effort to shift and I have a Pacesetter all the way low. I belive the B&M has a shorter throw, with 1 and 3 in about the same place. It seemed to me that 2 and 4 were farther forward. The did seem to be at the same height. If I had to choose between them, I would pick the pacesetter.

I am going to be so scared to shift hard since i kinda snapped my other one in half.. i guess curling 65lb dumbells @ the gym kinda got to me and my cheap shifter couldnt take it.. lol.. lets hope everything works well..
