Does anybody also have this noise? (video inside)

Turn speakers on and listen... this was from my engine this morning.

Is that normal?

if not ..what could it be?

I think that's either the IAC or EVAP system cycling. I wouldnt worry about it.

Does the noise vary with engine speed?

Wow you kinda sound like a deisel. It does sound like its comming fromt he EGR area.

your valves are tapping check to make sure the oil is still in your car and that you have coolant in the radiator and resevoir

man that tick is slower then my valve tap. my valves tap alot quicker then that taping sound, so i personal do not think its that.


sorry for asking a question in your thread but is there any way of getting red of vavle tap wit hout getting a new engine head or getting it rebuilt. A thicker oil maybe ??

its a VQ (GUARANTEED) its a digital cam microphone so please have mercy.

i have no oil problems nor coolant.

my car is idling and ppl think its off.

i took the video with camera under the hood close to the source of the tick that's why it sounds like diesel. wiseass....lol

i dunno if i should be concern or not

Sounds to me like the exhaust just heating up and expanding....the slow tick-tick-tick.
The clattering just sounds like the injectors to me....the microphone tends to amplify the sound...
