Mine never squeaked. Did you follow the bedding proceedure? Did you use the OEM shims? One word of advice...watch the wear on your rotors. My Axxis Ultimate (POS) ate my rotors with in a year. It is also doing the exact same thing to my friends prelude.

my ultimates definitely squeak...but only at lower speeds and under light brake pedal application...I did follow bedding in procedures to a "T" and the pads to dust a lot!!! but the performance of them is all worth it!!! how can you tell if your rotors are chopped up? it's not like they are warped or dished...visually I mean what would look different...or would I just have to measure thickness on them? I have zinc platted, brembo slotted OE replacements btw...

I did use the factory shims, and re-lubed the caliper pins/pistons and used a lot of that blue anti-squeal stuff...so I guess it's just the pads...

Basically the rotors had a groove the size of the pad. ~ 1/8" deep. I was using Brembo slotted and dimpled rotors. If you check my car domain page you can see the before and after shots of my set up. Another note about the Axxis pads. They are not the same size as the OEM pads. I ended up with a lip around the outer edge of the rotor.

I liked the Ultimates as far as braking power went. They had good intial bite and seemed to never fade. Lots of dust though. I just dont think they are worth replacing rotors every 30k miles.

I have them all around and they squeak at low rpm light stopping. These things dust like mad and do eat the rotor with about 1mm of lip at the outer edge of it. I do like the braking power but I will be trying somthing that does not dust so much next time as it is a pain to keep the wheels clean.

yep...looked today, I have that same lip...don't mind the dust if the performance is amazing...which it certainly is...I am just worried about the rotor life...what is the acceptable rotor width (after wear) till it's considered to be replaced? although these brembo slotted rotors last 30K miles with aggressive driving, I will be very happy!

IMO 30k for rotors is atleast half life. They should last much longer than that with a less aggressive pad. I put about 30k miles on my car a year, so spending that much money on my brakes every year is unacceptable to me. Now I am running OEM Pads and to tell you the truth, I cant even really notice a difference in braking.

I don't think it's nearly as bad as we are making it here...I autoX regularly and go on canyon runs, and my rotors still look and feel like new...(I think we aren't giving the quality of brembo rotors enough credit)...lol...

I did notice a huge difference in fade and absolute grip when switching to these pads...just can't stand the slight squealing at low speed/low braking and the extreme dusting...I would definitely buy these pads again in the future...

to me 30K is not that bad cause I only put about 10K miles a year on...albeit, they are aggressive miles though...

I got rid of my Axxis Ultimates. The dust is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, you wash the car, go for a 20 minute, drive, come back and rub your finger on the rim and your finget tip turns black. Axxis Deluxe and Metal Master do dust less. I am running Hawk HPS now, which are ok, keep the wheels a lot cleaner, but the brakes don't haul the car down anymore like the Axxis did.

mine are silent when cold, but when heated up....after about 5min of driving, then they squeak a low pedal application and only at low speeds as well...I wouldn't go as far as to say it's embarrassing, as my pads will fade less and grip harder than everyone around me at the stop light which comforts me....lol

Wow, i JUST had my brembo rotors installed 20 mins ago and was going to install the Axxis Ultimates but the shop guys recommended against it saying it might brake well but the dust is ridculous and it'll eat up rotors... now I didnt believe him of course, thinking "o gawd, he's gonna try to sell me his brake pads" but i searched and read a few things on the web and decided to buy his, which was the Wagner Thermo Quiets for about the same price I got the Axxis pads for... now i'm glad i didnt install tha Axxis ones but I was going to post them on ebay and on this forum but after this thread.. i don't think anyone's gonna buy them off me? :P anyone standing by their Axxis pads wanna buy mine? front and rear set? I'll let it go shipped priority mail w/ delivery confirmation for $90. Help a brother out here...
