Dude that sucks, I would be so pissed off if this happened to me. If your gonna go for the Cefiro lights, that is it the car isn't totaled, you could get I30 or Cefiro fenders and front end so there would be no gap with the lights. This is just the way I think. But good luck gettin her fixed back up.

well i figured i would post an update after exactly one month from the wreck...

So yesterday i went up to the shop. Well i got there asked the guy in charge of my repairs what was up. Well the chick at the front desk was all like "YEAH! Your car is almost done!"
SWEET!
until I talked to the guy in charge...
He said "The front clip they sent us was a total piece of crap so we have a new one ordered. The clip had been wrecked at least twice and the fender was an aftermarket OEM replacement. So we cant use that clip. But there is also another problem..."
He takes me over to my car where the hood, front cover, headlights, and fenders are nowhere to be found.
"If you look right here at the shock tower you can see where the frame has ripped through the sheet metal."
At this point the tech working on my car comes out and said:
"Even if we COULD fix it, the next wreck you get in could transplant your engine into the trunk."

So after a MONTH of getting NOTHING DONE!!! i am still without a car of my own.
these people should have found this weeks ago! you do no know how pissed off i am right now!

This quote does NOT include the price of any aftermarket damages that i would have to take care of (i.e. the Stillen Kit I would have to order, the neons, Black DC Corners.... they would cut me a check for this)

KBB is $8,800 so I am right on the borderline of being totaled!!!!! So only God know whats going to happen to my car...
Yours and my accident were identical, i could prolly match up pictures and it would look exactly the same, i had 5500 in damages they said borderline totalled just like you but they let it slide and now im drivin around with a mint front end(not saying its worth it) cuz i got ****ed money wise.

radiator, radiator support, condensor, headlights, fogs, clears everything up front got ****ed. frame was good though.

**** i was lucky. got t-boned and almost had a damn heart attack seeing a huge a$$ f350 with like a 52 inch lift kit on it barreling towards me through the intersection, but even that was borderline totalage because of the B pillar being nearly destroyed. all in all tho it worked out. best of luck to you. Well, the insurance company told me it was up to me wiether or not i want to have the car totaled out. The body shop told me that if it were to be repaired they think they would find another problem later on during the repairs and it would end up being totaled anyway!
so i'm thinking why not just cut out another week or two of bullsh!t and get them to total it out.
My plans are one of two things:
1. Find another Maxima and transfer all of my aftermarket items that are still good to the new max, or
2. I have been looking into a late model Z28... I know I know! It is a domestic, but 305hp/335tq is nothing to sneeze at for only a little more than a Max... Plus there are many more modifications available.

so i'm still not sure what i'm gonna do
