squealing belts

is the 14mm idler pully bolt the only one I need to adjust when tightening squealing belts or is there a second bold that I have to use to adjust the tension?

adithius why don't you go bugger off and get the facts before posting stupid graphics about reposts.

I had a glitch in my computer when posting and did a search to see if it got posted. I checked but it did not show up so I reposted.

Do you really think after being 4 years on the .org and with double the posts than you that I would do this purposely? Do you really think something like this deserves a BAN? I guess we will monitor you closely to see what your posts are all about.

In Fact your post was a useless post. Learn something as you have not been a member for even 6 months. I guess you will learn with age.

You might have the loosen the actual bolt itself that holds in the idler pulley slightly, then go with the 14mm idler pulley bolt. The bolt is located right in the middle of the pulley. Once you get the tension adjusted, tighten the bolt on the idler pulley so it doesn't wobble or go loose. IIRC that itself is a 10 or 12mm bolt.

Thanks. Much appreciated. Will try it tonight. I think the squeel may have come due to moisture as after a bit of spirited driving, it comes and goes.

what belt is squeeling? If it only happen when you're turning the steering wheel then it would be you're power steering belt and adjusting the tensioner pully wouldn't affect the PS belt
