There should be two threaded holes in front of the rotor by the hub. You're supposed to thread two bolts in there and turn them until the rotor snaps off the hub.

That seldom works for me so here is what I do.

1. take a propane torch or mapp gas and heat the rotor by the hub until you see the moisture burning off. then heat for like 2 mins. Move the flame around the rotor. Heat longer by the edge where the front of the rotor (by the hub) goes into the rear part of the rotor where the brake disc is. (sorry i cant describe it better- there's a 90 degree bend back. Heat more around there)

2. Take a nice strong hammer (I use a 32 ounce ball peen hammer) and smack the back of the rotor as hard as you can until it comes off. You can turn the rotor to smack in different areas.

If you want to reuse the rotor make sure you use a piece of wood or a rag to cushion the blows by the hammer.

This method is usually fail safe. It works every time.

Sweet it came right off with the hammer no probelms, so my next question is taking off the heat shield going to do anything? i got slotted/crossed drilled brembo with nice KVR pads just FYI.

You want to keep the heat/splash shield in place or else you will need to replace rotors very often. When the brakes heat up the rotor and you drive in the rain, water would splash up onto the rotor creating an intense heat-cold-heat cycle which will definitely warp the rotors. I wouldnt touch the heat shields. Once you mess with them they get bent and start to rub on the rotor making noise.

Good luck on your project

Autozone had that bracket for my car. You can go to the junkyard too.
