Problems today.
Well I went to the dealership to have them look at some stuff about my tranmission on Saturday. I was driving today and I heard a loud bang so I stoped at work and looked around and nothing was missin or leaking or anything. I then go home figuring a rock hit something then flew off and I hear this sound again and I pull into my driveway leave the car in reverse with the emergency break on and I hear something like a rock was in the bumper or something so I pop the hood and low and behold I see that one of my struts to hold the hood up is completely off and laying on the side of the car, I look and see if everything else is ok and I see that a bolt from my strut bar is missing and the bar is laying on the engine. WTF.So i go back to the dealer and thay say we never touch that at all. Is there anyway I can get a new bolt to hold the strut bar on or do I need a new strut bar? Freakin dealerships....

The strut tower bar uses the bolts that come through from the strut assembly, and I think they are integral to it. The nut is easily replaced, but if you broke one of the 3 bolts on the strut I'd have it looked at.
Also, the hood strut (you used the word strut several times, I think you're talking about two different things), is easily replaced. I wouldn't pay dealer price for it though - try eBay.

Oh, sure any Grade 8 (actually, it's metric so use Class 8.8 or 10.9) nut and bolt will work. Just take off the bar (leave the bases) if needed. The auto parts store will have what you need. It should be an M10x1.5mm thread, but don't quote me on that.

Hood strut or Macpherson strut?
The three nuts on top of the suspension strut should only be tightened to 35ft-lb I believe. The big nut in the middle of the strut tower should not be removed while it's in the car, and has a torque spec of 50ft-lb. The bolt that 9maxima5 is referring to has no specified torque (it's not stock) but should not go above 25ft-lb. Overtightening in any case can lead to the same things: bolt stretch and subsequent loosening, a broken bolt, or warpage to one of the components.
