I don't have flaps. The only thing that happens is that mud gets on your car. I don't have any problems with paint chipping off. This is my experience and I have a white car.

it won't really help in stopping chips, but it keeps the bottom of your car clean, plus i think it looks better on

I like them alot. Just as long as they're painted to match the body.

I think it looks more sportier with them off, But you gonna have to do a lot more cleaning after crapy weather. The flaps keep a to of the road junk of the sides of the car. I'm removing mine after I install the Stillen kit

I think he meant if the peolpe that have had them and took them off. If they experienced any paint peeling or chipping in the process of removing them.

well, there shouldn't be paint chipping or problems in removing them, its only held on by three screws

i removed mine(in which i am very willing to sell). and there was a outline of the mudflap on the paint. I used some clay bar and wax, and paint cleaner to get it off, and it is fine now. I wish i could find a way to stick them on with the stillen kit cause i loved having these.

it keeps the back of your car so much cleaner

im debating whether or not to take off my mud flaps for the summer to sports up the look of my car. like manual said, once there off if you just clay/wax/polish the paint it should restore it to its orginal shine.

also i just had an idea. someone with coilovers should put titanium tips on their mudflaps that way when their car is slammed the flaps would drag and sparks would go everwhere
