Lowering a Maxima
I want to drop my maxima but worried but what it could do to other parts on the car. Would I be able to just get springs or is that no good for the car? What is a cheap way to drop it without cutting the springs?

If you're looking for a cheap suspension just leave it stock.
A drop could technically cause your exhaust to grind, it could cause your oil pan to burst if you run over a curb or something, but the cross member protects it to some extent.
Think about driving your car with no wheels. Anything that could happen then could happen with a drop.
I've had nothing happen except smiles on my face as I take turns and look at a sleek machine as i climb into it.
Don't go cheap. That's my best advice to you. Eibach & H&R make good springs.

Do it right the first time. There is no cheap way to drop it. Some setups cost less than others, but they are still not cheap. If you do not have enough money right now, wait a little till you have the $ to do it right. More than likely you will also need more parts than just the springs and struts. With a 95 you will probably need to replace some worn suspension components.
