real quick question b/c i know this is prob common and hope is an easy fix... bought my injen cai last fall and have had a CEL ever since... i know my O2 sensors r good b/c theyre all new, but thats the code i get... just wondering what this could be thanks.

 

What code (#'s) are you getting exactly

 

i forget the exact #s, my mechanic ran it tho and said its the code for an O2 sensor, didnt specify which one, but like i said that shouldnt matter b/c theyre all brand new, along w/ every other sensor in my car

 

Run your ECU codes right now and tell me what you get. Read the stickies for a how-to on getting codes. Get the codes, post them up, and we'll try to help you. There is also a how-to on resetting the ECU CEL light.

 

ive reset the light before but u still cant pass emissions that way... and im at school i dont have any tools to do anything to my car, not even a screwdriver

 

ive also heard there can be otehr problems w/ the car that can trip and o2 code, any truth to this?

 

The only time the front 02 sensors will trigger a CEL light is if the ECU receives a contant value.

 

Check all connections you unplugged during installation... my air temp sensor was unplugged and i didnt know til the good ol CEL came on.

 

my air temp sensor is fine, first thing i checked. thanks tho... i would of thought this was a common problem??? guess not?
