the engine bay of the 2002+ Hyundai Tiburon V6 looks very similar to the the 4th gens engine bay.

this is a pic of a roots-type supercharger on a tiburon... with some modifications, it looks like it will fit the maxima.

i already know about how someone already put a roots type on the 4th gen, but this looks like something new that might be able to be done...check out the pics...

heres another one..

You would need a custom IM. You would also need a bigger SC than that one. You could do it, but whether it would be worth it would be the question. I would rather a turbo setup or just go with the centrifugal SC. The VQ30 has enought low end torque especially with a few mods. That much low end is just going to make you spin the tires more.

You might know this already, but Craig Mack tried to put a roots type in his car but it was were the battery tray was located with a extension for the pulley. The only problem was he never relocated the TB before the SC like he should have and was having all kinds of issues. His car was hit and totaled before he got it to work 100%.

if you look in the link where it shows the kit, it comes with the intake manifold.

i already knew about how Craig Mack did the roots-type and even saw pics, but this is totally different and looks like it can work.

Pull a Craig Mack and put on a GTP roots blower. Probably less work than that. He got the blower to work fine except he got hit bad hours after it was tuned.

maximization, let us know how it works, but as far as using tht kit with that IM, have fun .. I might "look" similar, but I'm sure there will clearance issues and such that need to be looked upon more closely, MUCH more.

It's been done by Craig Mack as Dave Sz and others pointed out, and you already knew. You don't need a custom IM, go to the general forums go back a few pages and find the thread labeled "different supercharger" it has a link to Craigs thread, it was talked about less than a week ago. ...

And you with an auto question, go to the forced induction area of the forums, it can and has been done an auto perahaps as many times as a 5spd .. ..
