Power Antenna

Just had a quick question, i got a new antenna for my 99 maxima SE, and was wondering how do i remove the old one. I went in my trunk and pulled my side panel off where my antenna is but cant figure out where to go from there.. I checked the sticky's already and didnt see anything unless i missed it. If someone could guide me through how to replace it, the antenna's motor still works fine just the antenna was bent.. so it couldnt go down. Thanks in advance for any help.

for the antenna you can use a vise grip (lightly) and place at the base, and twist counter clockwise to loose it, and it will come right out.

Hope you got the antenna motor cheap, all you really needed was:

I got mine from these guys, no problems.
Even comes with instructions. You need either snap ring or pin nose pliers to remove the nut at the base of the antenna, turn the radio on, pull the antenna mast noting the direction of the teeth, put the stock nut ont he new mast you removed from the old one and turn off the radio while threading the new mast in the same with the teeth facing the same direction the old one was removed. If your going to use your new antenna you'll still needto remove the old base nut, then unbolt the motor to switch, or you could keep your old motor and change the masts order a new mast and re sell the new motor with new mast, various options good luck.
