96 grill on a 99...question

how hard is it to fit a 96 grill on a 99?...do you have to do a front end conversion...or would u be able to cope without it?....i know the 96 grill is a little smaller...but will it work anyway? Thanx

there'd be about a inch gap on the legs, inbetween the legs and bumper for a 99 bumper with 96 grill
