99 ECU plastic screw will not stop turning...
I just tried to extract the codes off my ECU and found that the little plastic screw does not stop turning. It just keeps spinning with no end. It looks like I was the first person to tamper with it as the sticker over the hole was un touched. Has anyone seen this before, and if so, does this mean my screw is broken? Oh yeah, the reason I wanted to extract the codes was because I was not getting a check engine light when I turn my key to the "ON" position. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Get a cheap code reader from Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43989
It will save you the hassle of turning the screw. Plus you might have broken your screw. The 99 are easy to break. Mine broke off also. The checked my codes once and then the next time it broke.

You need to take out your gauge cluster and either screw in the bulb or replace it from nissan. I had the same thing I suspect those car salesman at the lot pulled the check engine light stunt where they disconnect it.
