With great difficulty! I've never done this in my Maxima. Perhaps you could call a cab and see if they can open it up with a slim jim. Where I'm from they open cars up all the time.

call a lock smith

if you had an aftermarket car alarm like the viper 791 or echo by omega if you locked your keys in the car, and say you have a spare key pad at your house you could call your mom/wife/or girlfriend on your cell phone and when they hit unlock the signal is transfered thru the phone and your car will unlock

I'm glad you mentioned that. There is an aftermarket alarm that is installed, so when we open the door that bastard will go off. Dang

The is supposed to be someone coming here tomorrow to change some locks, maybe they can fix it??

The guy that's coming to change your house locks can probably unlock the car for you provided he's a real locksmith.

Over here (NY,NJ) cops won't open it for you. Something about being liable for damage to the locking mechanism I think.

Just make sure you know where the keys are so you can turn off the alarm right away.

Or you could call a tow truck they open them. Cops here don't open doors anymore either. Basically what anyone besides a lock smith will do is put a wedge in your door and reach in with a coat hanger. If you can get it open a little you can just press the unlock button but they aren't responsible for any damage.

here's another option (learned this the hard way) if you're going to have to call a tow truck, I dont know about you, but its expensive up here- called one and they told me I was looking at prob $120 for them to do that. Solution- go online to AAA, sign up, pay $45 for a yr membership (you'll get a member number right away) and call the tow truck guys and tell them you have AAA! Total cost $45, not having to pay $120- priceless! yeah, I know, this is getting old
