inspection time, please help me
Attempted to get inspected today, however the machine gave the following code (I got a printout). maybe you guys can help me with understanding this. He said the fix is to remove the intake and put the stock air intake in because there is something 'unplugged'. I don't know what can be unplugged, or what the difference between the intakes are, since nothing gets unplugged while changing it. Could it be the JWT ECU? Anyhow, here is what the printout said:
OBD II Diagnostics
The MIL is commanded off.
Emissions Related Powertrain DTCs, Mode 3:
Electronic Control Unit ID: 10
P0325
Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Blank 1 or Single Sensor)
Continuously Monitored Systems DTCs Mode 7:
Electronic Control Unit ID: 10
P0325
Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Blank 1 or Single Sensor)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

if the air intake temperature sensor is not reading as it should it will trigger the KS code. This happened to me on my parents Infiniti qx4 suv. You will physically see the check engine light on this one and its not a "ghost code" If your inspection guy pulled a KS code from the car without a CEL then my advice woould be to spray the sensor with some pb blaster, fill it up with some very high quality 93 octance gas, reset the ecu and go and get reinspected. Id also replace that KS if your over 100k its 89 shipped in the group deal section and is considered by most people a tune up item.
