weird wheel noise

hey guys....sorry i cant be too detailed on this cause i dont really know wheel stuff....i hear this noise when driving low speeds, but it proly occurs at high speeds too, i proly just can hear it...

its got a rhythm and sounds like 2 metal pieces are sorta sliding beside each other, its not rough really, but it doesnt sound healthy...i can proly make the sound it makes with my mouth on sound recorded if i can host it somewhere,,,,i dont know that stuff....it sorta makes a hiss hiss noise with a rhythm...could it be breaks? bearings?

by the way....if this is something easy and its in the how-to's i apologize because im at work and i only get a short stab at the computer next door...thnx in advance

Ah if it isn't, mrgeek, lol! Maybe you could entertain us with the sound recording.

Do you hear the noise when the brakes are being applied? If so, perhaps you are down to the wear bar on the brake pads and may have only replaced one set so far.

If not, then it might be a wheel bearing problem.

Check pads wearness. Also, rotor might have overheated a bit and maybe he distorted (not sure if that's an english word but...) so it can be rubbing against pads somewhere in its revolution. If you feel vibrations in your steering at high speed, get the wheel correctly balanced. While you're there, check air pressure. If its nothing of that, could be wheel bearing. Good luck
