I used to be able to keep that lamp off for 1500 miles. Then the distance got shorter and shorter, and eventually, if I reset the ECU it came back immediately. Now it's been almost 45k, but I paid the dealer to fix it finally!

20W50 is heavier and used a lot in racing engines that were built on the "loose" side. If his car is burning oil on the lighter weights, then he may need the heavier weight. He'd have to go to a lighter weight once it gets cold if he were further north like say NY. As long as the car doesn't blow up for LACK of oil, leave him be...

Regarding reseting the ECU
When you reset the ecu, should that turn off the cel? Reason asking
i did the speed gov mod and installed a switch on it. I left the circuit open for too long and my cel came on.
If i reset it using the screw with the piece of tape on it will it turn it off?
