1 Person Susp. Install

So my "friend" bailed on helping me lower my max. Flying solo on this one. Is it THAT much harder with one person, or should i just wait for some help? Is it ok to remove the top bolts first, then the bottom ones, so nothing just drops to the floor? Anybody done this alone, i need a confidence boost!

Is it okay to remove the 2 bolts in the trunk first, then the bottom one on the axle, then vice versa when installing?

Are you lowering? If so KYB boots, or the fronts from a 95 mustang and rears from 95 miata are the way to go. Part #'s SB103 and SB108 on the kyb's. Ordered mine from a local tuner store, they got them in the next day. Installing my illuminas/s-techs tomorrow, ah hell i can't sleep!

Yup, like someone else said, as long as you have a small jack handy it's not bad. I've done suspension swaps a few times by myself. Certainly is nice to have an extra set of hands, but not too difficult without em.

Here are some instructions, we had 3 people helping but you can pretty much gather what you will be needing the jacks help with..

Job Complete!

Ok, got it done! Lil harder than i expected, but its done. Just my luck, it stormed tonight, had to drive home with broken branchesand whatnot all over the road. 70+ mph winds too. Trees blocking roads and highways, it was a mess! But i'll post pics tomorrow hopefully.

Hey, did our Illuminas on the same day! I thought I was going to be seeing a storm but it cleared later. Only problem was the alignment, getting on the ramp wouldve tore my front end off with how much lower it is now.

I had the Tien S, getting the stock front back today so hopefully it will be able to make it up the ramp before I try another kit.

you should have waited a few days to get a alignment so you give the springs a chance to settle in place

Doing it solo with hand tools is a chore. Doing it solo with air tools is a stroll through the park.
