Tranny problem !!!!

Tranny problem !!!!

Hi guys here is my dilema ...I had to replace my clutch and also the input shaft bearing and seal ...well after I put evething together in the pouring rain until 11:30pm for some reason the tranny stays on reverse there is no neutral although the sihfter is on the neutral position the car goes on reverse ,if I shift it to 5th it goes on reverse ,if I shift to reverse it goes on reverse , if I shift to 1st it dies , if I shift to second gear the shifter gets stock !!! someone help

Ooooooh, man that sounds serious. Did u you do the clutch yourself? If you didnt take right back to he mechanic who did. It sounds like a clutch problem.

check your linkage? I've never heard of anything like that. I'll check my haynes manual later on.

all sensors were hooked back up? I'd check sensors etc and linkage also.

sounds like your linkage anchor wasnt put in and the linkage is not engaging properly.

Linkage has to be the peoblem. mostlikely not even hooked up at all. need to double check.

Hi guys thanks for all the feedback I will open it again and check but as far as I know everything was put back the same way I took them out ...If I didn't put the links right how would I know if they are in the right spot ????well I will find a schematic of the tranny and check !!!
