I messed somethig up :(

My god damn LED in the ignition switch started flickering, the LEDs that that guy CWITCHIK or whatever is selling are GARBAGE I've had to replace atleast 5-6 of them, anyways, I accidently touched the positive and negative saw a little spark and the fuse went out, I replaced the fuse, NOW... my dome light DOES NOT come on when I open the doors. It only comes on when I manually switch it to "ON". I've tried 3 diff. LEDS and ALL of them ARE EXTREMELY DIM when I put them in the ignition switch socket, also my ashtray LED is no longer working either. What can this be . It's ticking me off...

ok first of all the ignition switch light is a bulb which means ull need a resistor on the led to keep it lit without any problems.. secondly the reason the dome light prolly doesnt work now is you fried a fuse..

u just gotta kno what yer doing.. cwithk's led's are good.. i re did my entire interior with his led's

I used cwithk's LEDs all the time. This time it was user error. I did use a resistor, it was a tight fit and the prongs touched. And it's not as easy as a fuse. I check every fuse there is, even the wireing, tried some diagnostic modes also. The dealer said part of the BCM is toast.

Why are you blaming CwithK when it was your fault? It's a piece of plastic with 2 pieces of short, metal leads. I've had his LEDs for a while and since I knew what I was doing they are still fine.

this is why i didnt insert the metal prongs into the socket, i inserted them on the outer part of the metal tabs so that there would be no way for them to touch or short out, even if it were to fall out.

His LEDs are bad, I replaced the Hazard Switch LED already, replaced the manual a/c controls atleast 4-5 times and no those were not user errors, the LEDs would start flickering, and eventually go out... any other suggestions?

How the hell do u get a bad batch? He hand picks 50 leds that don't work and give them to u??

Honestly, if they r bad, get a resisted led and attach it to the battery and see if it goes bad.....

When ure led flickers it means the two legs touched or YOU ARE NOT USING RESISTORS or the correct resistors....I use his leds all the time also....u messed up, admit it....and who else got a bad batch??? Give me his email address....come on man, stop being ignorant, u didn't get a bad batch.....

a bunch of mine did the same thing. i did everything in my car. then i had a buddy do a 2nd dome light. even though he solders for a living they started to flicker. he did a really nice job, but after a few weeks they started to **** the bed. it may or may not be the parts, could just be too much heat with the iron or something we do to screw them up. all my red ones work perfect. its the white ones that go crazy. they were in my dome light and climate control.
