You have to unbolt it from the carrier bearing.
There are 3 bolts on it, once you get them out pry the axle out of the bearing, the rest is simple.

i did unbolt the 3 bolts but still couldn't get it out. I don't know where to leverage it from. THere is almost no room. Where is the best place to pry it from, what would you use to pry it.

use a sharp chisel and slowly pry on the axle bearing bracket, spary some PB blaster on it and give it few minutes to penetrate, the axle might be seized up in the bearing bracket and that is why it is hard to get it out, once you free the axle from the bracket , just pull on it and it should come out of the tranny, there is no C-clip holding it in , ( driver side has C-clip)

hope this will help

Nick.
