WHAT??? Do you want to put LEDs in your tail lights to make them brighter when you brake, or do you want to have another brake light, like on a spoiler or something???

Well so you want to do a totally custom job...
I really don't think there is a write up on the site on how to do it.

kevlo911's done it, if you want better advice than can be given by the members here, head on over to www.hidplanet.com/forums and check out the LED lighting board.

there are replacement bulbs (1156, 1157, etc.) with led's instead of filaments, why not use those?

i actually got pulled over for those replacement leds. the cop said that the difference between the lights normally and brakes wasnt not great enough to be seen during the day. i got a warning, but still a hassle. then again, the cops around me in like a 20 mile radius LOVE me... im really a good driver ..really....
