CVBOOT replacement

CVBOOT replacement

does anyone have instructions on how to replace the CV boot on 4th gen max... while lowering the car.. the CVboot came out of the tranny... letting the tranny fluid leak out.. please help me with this!!!! email me or pm me... email: rpatel605@yahoo.com

Can't you just pop it back in? Or do you want to replace it?

Pick up a Haynes or Chilton book; the procedure outlined in those are pretty good.

It's pretty straight-forward, but you're going to need a 36mm socket and a breaker bar to get the axle-nut off. You should also plan on getting an alignment too, as you will most likely be disconnecting the steering knuckle from the strut.

You mean the axel came out of the tranny. That is no cause for replacement. Now if the CV boot is torn then you might want to go ahead and replace the axel.
