rusty trunk??

this past winter was really harsh on my car. the holes drilled for the spoiler started rusting really badly and now i have oxidation running down the back of my trunk that won't wash off! has anyone else had a problem with their factory SE spoiler holes rusting? i would think that since it comes with a spoiler from the factory that they would seal it correctly...

i had that problem also and from what i found out, it is very common. Nissan did something wrong or used a poor sealant i think and it doesn't take much for any of them to rust.

i looked for a new trunk lid, and one day, i was bumped pretty bad in a parking lot aisle. my rear right quater panel bumped up, the same side as the rust on the trunklid/spoiler and i was able to have the body shop take care of it at the same time for an extremely good deal! looks so much better! looks very clean and no rust to date (it's been about 6 months now).
