i have 215/60/15. probably not much different.
brand wise, i have Yokohama YK420's. (all-season, possibly performance, but not high performance). not sure if they're very good or not but i found them cheap online and then i think it was discount matched and beat that price, so i couldn't pass it up. they seen to squeal a bit excessively on onramps and such. i have no suspension work yet, but hope to handle better with Illuminas/S-Techs and FSTB. i know good tires are a very good investment and practically the number one handling improvement, but i just couldn't bring myself to spend so much more. i will be in montana next year for school so i am on a budget, plus i need the extra traction.

does anyone have anything to say about my tires? i just want to know if they have any potential, or if they are just crap.

(sorry for jackin the thread. i'll go ask in the wheel/tire section.)

205/65/15 is OEM for the GLE and GXE. 215/60/15 is OEM for the SE.

I have the potenza RE950 which have performed pretty well. Tirerack rives them excellent ratings in every area besides snow traction.

I had those tires for about 40k. Started getting sloppy... but they were a big improvement than what was on my car when I bought it. Hard to find anything too sporty with a 15" rim - just too much rubber on the sidewall for it to be firm... you have to go with larger rims to really feel a substantial handling improvement.

I went with the 215/60/15 size when I replaced tires on my stock GLE rims.
