i haven't put them back in my car yet since im finishing up a 5spd swap, however i can tell they are much more solid now, because i could wiggle the center bolt (the bolt that goes through the middle of the mount) before, but after filling it is very very difficult to budge. here's a good thread if you're interested:

yes if you do it correctly. i would make sure and get good urethane (rated @ 80A for hardness). i'm not sure if that window weld stuff is the right hardness either. i know there are a lot of .orgers who have done this and been happy, and this is a much less expensive route than buying ES or PR mount inserts.

well, taking the mounts off isn't that bad if you have a friend/buddy to help you out. i'm in the middle of a 5spd conversion so i had some extra space to work with. it just helps to have someone hold the nuts while you take off the bolts. as for reinstallation, i just put my crossmember back in last night by myself (it's not that hard, you just have to keep adjusting the height of the engine and crossmember until they line up), but it would be helpful to have a friend holding the nuts to torque everything down (especially with the jackstands and jacks holding up the engine and crossmember in the way).Originally Posted by dayglo

and yes, a week w/ no car would suck. but if you are going on vacation or something anyway, that would be a good time to fill your mounts if u wanted to, and then they'd be all ready for you when you get back =)
