Isnt fac spec on the KS 15-20 lb-ft?

cause i sure as hell cannot get it off. ive got a 12mm flex rachet wrench on that thing and it will not budge. the wrench is resting on the nut fine and theres plenty of room to break it loose but it will not come loose. and its not even rusted. did anyone run into this problem? thanks guys.

I had to use an open end wrench to break it loose.

Sometimes they seem to be on pretty tight. The nuts are only supposed to be torqued to 30-35 ft/lbs. Don't over torque them putting them back on or you might break the stud off the strut mount.

njmaxseltd looks like you mixed up threads ^^^^ is valid info. for the FSTB, not the KS.

how did you even get your hands in there to work the wrench? I just did mine two weeks ago - it was a little work to break it free, but I did it with the 12mm flex-join socket and 18" extension.

Ehh, what can I say, I got skills. I was too lazy and cheap to buy the parts, so I used what I had.

i used the 12mm flex socket, the one piece unit not the 12mm on top of a flex and a 18inch extension. i removed the intake so i could fit the extension. the factory TQ is like 15 ft-lbs

thanks guys - i finally got it. thank goodness for little sisters w/ little hands. i finally did break it loose w/ that wrench and she was able to get it out and the new one in. I owe her big-time. anyway, the car feels so much better as everyone talks about. it didnt take to long for the timing to advance it seems cause its pulling harder already.
