it looks like the B&M one though, doesn't it? And it is more than just the shift shaft, right? I think it looks pretty good. and that other thread doesn't say anything about this, i don't think. although, it doesn't look like this one is adjustable, so it may hit the dash, my personal biggest fear in a sts.

actually i bought a nismo sts off ebay and it worked great. i had to bend the heat shield a little and get a new bolt to go through the sts but it made the shifts a lot shorter and was just as smooth. it was about 35$.

spend the extra money and get a Pacesetter one. The 'nismo' one is just as tall as stock, which got in the way of my cd changer. While the pacesetter is fully adjustable height + throw.

oh, it is? i thought it was just throw adjustable, but height was just slightly lower than stock. if height is also adjustable, then I'm sold!!

If he says " I love it" doesn't that explain it?
BTW I just cut mine and I'm completely happy with it

you would think, but I just don't want to hit my dash. i decided a few days ago that the only decent one was pacesetter and I'm trying to hold back on the $$$ for moddin, so i was gonna pass on the $80 sts. but if I can get a better than decent one for $30, then i will consider it.

alright, DAVE Sz, 1 question: how much is the height reduced?

thanks for your patience guys.

I'm not sure how much it was reduced as my stock shifter was cut almost 3". I would say this one is around 2" shorter than the stock. It doesn't hit anything, there is at least 1" clearance around it in any gear. Only thing you will need to do is to go to a hardware store and buy a new bolt for like 34 cents.

i've driven dave's car with the STS in it and when it was cut also, i love how his sts feels, and will be ordering this one in the next 2 weeks or so. but like dave said, i wouldnt mind cutting the sts a little bit, i have my stock cut at the moment and i love how it sits, and his sts is a bit higher.
