ok, so this has happened to me a bunch of time over the last year or 2. It seems to only occur after my car has been sitting in direct sunlight on hot days for a while. When i start driving and hit about 2500-3000 rpm the take starts jumping all around and goes crazy until the car shifts and rpms are lowered, after a little while, seemingly when the car cools down this problem goes away. I notice no difference in the car when this is happening. what do you guys think the problem is?

 

I was gonna say transmission problem but then you said there's no difference in car when this is happening so that doesn't make any sense... maybe cluster replacement, but then again, why would it only do it when it's hot... that doesn't make sense either. I'm lost and bored at work, don't listen to me.
