Maybe Upcomming GD on Split Fires Direct Ignition

Well i E-mailed the people from Direct Ignition from Japan for our Coils a while back, and I got an email back
Dear Sir,

Thank you for your inquiry about our Direct Ignition System for Cefiro.
Please let us know more details about your inquiry.
Also please let us know about your company.
Best regards
T.Honji
SplitFire Japan, Inc.
http://www.splitfire-japan.com
And This is what I replied

Well in the U.S.A.
there are no Cefiro's, only Maximas, Its the same car but only a few
differences. The engine is the same which is the VQ30DE. Also there is
a big enthusiast site online www.maxima.org just for our car.
Basically my point is that when Nissan produced our Ignition system
they used really frugal methods. There are no upgrades for our
ignition system in the USA so I would like to find out how much your
Direct Ignition System for the Cefiro(VQ30DE) would cost shipped to
the USA

I dont have a company but you guys can become sponsors for the site,
and sell your product directly on the Forums of the Maxima site
(www.maxima.org) I am pretty sure that a lot of people would want it.

+HP! Yay.

Thanks for making your business known If you really were to interest them, and maybe make a few bucks, you'd act as liason, and sell them to orgers

they give ok hp for the price, im sure its worth it for the 99's instead of replacing the old coils with stock ones, you can pay a little extra and youll get power out of it. But if I end up staying in America I will def purchase these. Thanx for the link zach I didnt know you guys touched up on it again, i havent checked the forums for a long time, I hate working full time!!!

for 400$ this isnt really worth it. i think the SR20 engine benifits almost 2hp and at 6000rpms mabe 6hp or so.

i doubt thats enough HP gain for 400+$
plus as someone said it wouldnt be a problem using stock coils.

ya'll search for the posts i put down peraining this set of the coils. i've got it on my car, they are running great. as far as hp gain goes, i really won't lie to you guys. it didn't improve my track time at all. i can "feel" a more significant "pull" after the mevi kicks in, that's about it. below 5k rpms, this thing doesn't do crap, but at very high ends, this puppy "seems" to be kickin.

well, as i mentioned in every post about these coilpacks, i will try to get a dyno done later. i'd say unless we get some before and after numbers, there is no need for ya'll to buy this. by the way, i spent 550 us dollars buying a set of these (air-shipped). these coilpacks are not easy to get in the USA. The customs are very harsh about letting these puppies get in. I"ve heard of a huge possibility of shipping these coils in bulk and get rejected by the US customs.

Anyways, seems like "Sycefiro" has win this race of gettin them into the USA. Nino's is way to behind in this. I am probably able to start a sales route for this, but i've got too much siht on my hands, so i gave up. anyways, those of you who doesn't know much about this, here you go...

i'm pretty sure it will run more than 430 dollars. the coils themselves have gotten down to about 340-390 us dollars right now. and shipping isn't a joke from either taiwan or japan about these coilpacks. besides, i'm assuming that they want to make a little profit out of it. so mid 400 is where you'll be looking at.

hey, i'm not the seller, i've done over a whole year of research on this. i know a lot about them coils, even some reviews written by people who purchased them. general public reviews on these puppies are very positive so far. However, they have only done them on the VQ20DE's for all of those reviews. They claim to feel a better performance response with this mod.

a little update on my promised dyno:

I'm arranging to ship this coils to stephen max in austin for him to do the dyno with these coils. he is most knoledgeable and can go much further than i can on getting the real potentials out of these coils. it will be in september when i send them in.

sorry i cannot do it myself as budgeting crisis has come to a very depressed state. i'm buying too much mods at once and am broke after all. sorry guys...

haha, 2 da max, sorry i called stephen max first. you're 1 1/2 a day too late on this.

i intended to make my car a sleeper. but it doesn't run fast at all. i've been gettin the knock sensor code since the last few months; i hope to suspect that to be the cause of my slow track times. I also have very very bad wheel hop problems. and there is a stick-slip on my clutch due to lightweighing both flywheels and udp. I'm not trying to find excuses, but there are problems with my car that I know is kickin my head to solve. I can see a greater potential after fixin the problems. However, splitfire coilpacks didn't do crap to gain my track times. I proved that already, no gains.

this is my track score:

R/T: 0.544
60': 2.413
1/8: 9.861
MPH: 76.42
1/4: 14.715
MPH: 96.54

It seems to me that my high ends are pretty nice, it's just off the line, i cannot do the 3k rpm drop. my clutch will slip that way; i always feather the clutch till i grip, then i floor it. however, my friend bobby raced in my car before. he claim to see no slippin by 3k drops and no slipping throughout all gearing. but track time didn't improve even with him driving my car. he is a terrific driver.
