check your wiring? check for loose cables? check to see you used the right fuses?

I wired everything just like the instruction says. All I got in the package was the short wire that came with the mirrors and nothing else do I need to by a harness or a special relay for led bulbs or resistor I don't know.

Thanx

I checked my wires and there look fine I replaced all my fuses and everything is working when I unhook the wires from the mirrors but as soon as I hook them up again they blow.

I got it from redlinemax.com It came in a box with a picture of a nissan. The only things that were in it was the shells and little kit to clean the shells and that's it no wiring kits or even instructions. That's why it took me so long to do this.

how did you wire it? Do they work at all or do they blow right away?

I wired it straight from the mirrors to the turn signals. They work for a little bit but as soon as I turn the Hazards on they blow. I used to have a different relay for turn signals and it seemed to not burn the fuses as fast. It got me kinda frustrated cause I tried like almost everything and I had to take the door of like 5 time already and I can't figure it out.

Thanx for your help

Had mine for couple months with no problems....How exactly did you get the wires from the back of the mirror to the turn signal? Did you take the mirror off and put the wires through the little hole....I guess the mirror could be pinching the wires causing a short.

That's exactly how I did it I took the mirror off and fed it through the hole. You think that that might be it but I can't see any other way to do this
unless I would have to drill a hole in the original shell.

No...the way I described is how I did it and there hasn't been a problem....how did you tap into the turn signal...did you try messin with that connection.

I stripped the green wire and wrapped the wire from the mirrors around the green turn signal wire.

The color might be diff on 99....I don't remember green but you might have better luck using wire taps....also what did you use for the ground on the mirror covers? Anytime my fog light fuse has blown it has been because the ground was loose.....maybe there is a little interferance with the ground....Pics would help if you have them of where you grounded it

I've taken the black wire from the LED mirror shells and grounded it to the screw holding the inside door handle on. This seemed like a good place to ground the LED mirror shell.

Try a multimeter and make sure you have the ground and the right amount of voltage going to the wire. If your pulling too much ur going to short the fuse. try running a higher awg wire than it suggests.

Do you know if I can get a special relay for this set up?
I was thinking of running a extra wire from the fuse box to the turn signals but that would be my last option.

ThAnx for your help

You prbably could but I don't see why you would need to ... there has to be an easy explination as to why the fuse is shorting.....everyone else that has the blinker mirrors hasn't had a problem....i would triple check ALL hookups...there is bound to be something loose or off somewhere....
